Richard T. Weaver (Motor Services) Ltd is a family business run by Richard Weaver, whose family has been serving Ludlow and the local community through the motor trade since 1974.
Richard took over his father’s business, Clee Hill Motor Spares, in 1988 when it was based at nearby Middleton. Ten years on, in 1998 he relocated to Bromfield where he remains today, having also enjoyed a short period with additional premises nearer Ludlow town centre.
Originally a vehicle disposal merchant, the business took a turn in direction over the following years, diversifying into vehicle servicing and general repairs. 24-hour emergency recovery for local motor traders and approved accident recovery for national insurance companies was also added during this period of change. This led to providing track-side support at a number of prestigious hill climb and sprint venues, including Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb and Chateau Impney Hill Climb.
Building on his reputation for the efficient servicing and repair of all make of car and commercial vehicles, in 2007 he expanded the business further and now has a state-of-the-art MOT centre; a great enhancement to the company’s portfolio of skills and service. Further expansion in 2010 saw the creation of an additional workshop, large enough for the indoor maintenance of larger campervans and commercial vehicles. The business expansion has continued over the past ten years and now also includes market-leading diagnostic equipment for rapid fault-finding on all makes of new and older cars and commercial vehicles.
